Following road safety concerns raised by local residents in South Tyneside, NSRI have introduced two new community speed concern mobile camera sites in the local authority area.
These two sites are on the A185 Victoria Road West in Hebburn and Quarry Lane in South Shields where the speed limit is 30mph.
There is also a new community speed concern site that has been introduced for the duration of the roadworks on the A1 Morpeth Bypass at the request of the workforce. Â This site will enforce the temporary 40mph speed limit on this road.
Enforcement activity will commence at all three of these sites from 5th May 2016, and at regular intervals following this date.
All three sites have been added to NSRI’s camera site map, with the centre points of the sites displayed on the small maps below:
